Flowerburn Holidays - Callachy Cottage

Callachy Cottage is a detached two-bedroom property sitting on high ground above the Moray Firth, its position giving it views across the water towards Fort George. Built with a practical layout across two floors, it offers genuine separation between living and sleeping spaces: a ground floor organised around a kitchen, dining room, and spacious sitting room, plus a conservatory; upstairs, a double and a twin bedroom sharing a bathroom with bath and shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered, and you have private parking for two cars on site.
The cottage sits within reach of some of the Highlands' most rewarding walking country. Chanonry Point, visible from the property, is one of Europe's premier spots for bottlenose dolphins; the surrounding area regularly hosts pine martens, buzzards, roe deer and otters. Fortrose and Rosemarkie, each a few miles away, provide pubs, restaurants and shops. A beach lies 2 miles off. The owner lives on site. No smoking is permitted indoors.

What a beautiful place to stay. I was travelling for work and had a whole month to enjoy the views and serenity that the Flowerburn holiday homes had to offer. With Rosemarkie, Chanonry point and Fortrose just down the road, and easy connections to the rest of the black isle and beyond it's an ideal place to stay for a holiday in the Black Isle and Highlands.
