Flowerburn Holidays - Heather Lodge

Heather Lodge works well for families or small groups wanting a quiet Highland base. The two-bedroom property sleeps four across a double and a pair of single beds, with a bathroom serving both rooms. Downstairs is an open-plan living, dining and kitchen area with patio doors opening onto a private garden with seating; a wood-burner keeps things warm. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave and dishwasher, and there's a washer-dryer on-site for longer stays. Wi-Fi, bed linen, towels and heating are included.
The lodge sits on woodland grounds near Fortrose, in an elevated position with views towards the sea. Private parking for two cars is on-site, and the enclosed garden offers some outdoor space. One well-behaved pet stays free. Non-smokers only. The Moray Firth coastline nearby is known for bottlenose dolphins, particularly around Chanonry Point, while the wider area attracts pine martens, buzzards, roe deer and otters. The nearby villages have pubs, restaurants and shops; walking and cycling routes abound, and there's golf within reach. The beach is roughly two miles away.

What a beautiful place to stay. I was travelling for work and had a whole month to enjoy the views and serenity that the Flowerburn holiday homes had to offer. With Rosemarkie, Chanonry point and Fortrose just down the road, and easy connections to the rest of the black isle and beyond it's an ideal place to stay for a holiday in the Black Isle and Highlands.
