Thistle Lodge is a two-bedroom holiday let on the Black Isle, surrounded by trees with outlook towards the water. The whole property is yours alone. Upstairs are a double bedroom and a twin; downstairs is a bathroom, then an open-plan living and dining space with a kitchen area, patio doors opening onto a decking balcony. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi come as standard. Two cars can park on site.
The location suits anyone interested in wildlife: bottlenose dolphins gather at Chanonry Point nearby, and the wider area holds pine martens, roe deer, buzzards and otters. Walking and cycling routes start from the grounds, and the villages of Fortrose and Rosemarkie, roughly 3 miles away, have pubs, restaurants and shops. The coast is 2 miles off. Dogs stay free and are welcome here. No smoking indoors.

What a beautiful place to stay. I was travelling for work and had a whole month to enjoy the views and serenity that the Flowerburn holiday homes had to offer. With Rosemarkie, Chanonry point and Fortrose just down the road, and easy connections to the rest of the black isle and beyond it's an ideal place to stay for a holiday in the Black Isle and Highlands.
