Gàrradh an Fhàsaich
Highland
An early 20th-century cottage attached to a smallholding in the Highland interior, Gàrradh an Fhàsaich takes its Gaelic name from the wild garden surrounding it. The property sits within 8.9 acres of mature grounds planted with native species, accessible via natural footpaths, and offers genuine seclusion despite being just off the road near Fasach in Glendale. Over fifty bird species have been recorded here, and the sense of isolation is complete, enhanced by the sunken position and tree cover.
Inside there are three bedrooms—a single, a double, and a smaller flexible sleeping space—plus one bathroom with bath and shower. The ground floor contains a living room with an open fire, a kitchen with electric cooking and a door to the garden, and storage space in the porch. Essentials including electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are covered; initial fuel for the fire is provided. The enclosed garden has benches and a picnic table, and there is parking for one car on site with additional roadside space nearby. One dog stays free of charge.
This suits couples, small families, or anyone travelling with a dog who wants to walk and explore unspoilt grounds. The cottage makes a good base for discovering the wider Highland landscape.
