Kintulloch

Kintulloch is a detached bungalow sleeping 4 in the scattered community of Inveruglas, a few miles from Kingussie in the heart of the Cairngorms. Everything you need for a self-catering stay is provided: electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, as are logs for the woodburner. The kitchen has an electric cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. The living and dining room opens onto a balcony with countryside views towards the Monadhliath mountains and Insh Marshes RSPB reserve.

Both bedrooms are on the ground floor—one with a zip and link kingsize bed (which can be split into two singles), the other with two 3ft single beds—along with a bathroom that has a bath with shower over and heated towel rail. Outside, there's a large garden with sitting-out area and furniture, and parking for three cars on site. The location suits walkers: the Badenoch Way passes the house, Glen Feshie is within walking distance, and beyond the garden there are no tarmacced roads or houses for many miles. Nearby attractions include Loch Insh outdoor centre for water sports, a dry ski slope, quad biking, zip lining and other activities. Kingussie town centre is a short drive away. Children under 3 are not accommodated. In winter months, a 4WD, chains or winter tyres may be needed to reach the property.
