Schiehallion is a three-bedroom lodge sleeping up to five, housed entirely on one level near Kylesku in the northern Highlands. The open-plan hub contains a kitchen with electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washing machine, plus a lounge and dining space that flow together. Bedrooms offer a king bed, two singles, and one single; there is one bathroom with a bath and shower. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wifi are included, and there is a balcony with outdoor seating and parking for two cars on site. One pet is welcome. No smoking.
The location sits on the coast near Kylesku, a village centred on a working harbour where boats depart to see seals, porpoises and sea eagles. The Kylesku Bridge is nearby, and the surrounding hills—Quinag, Assynt and others—draw walkers. Lochs, hidden beaches and historical remains reward exploration of the quieter routes through the area. For those seeking a base from which to venture into these landscapes, the lodge provides working space: a proper kitchen, somewhere to gather indoors, and the practicality to stay self-catered through rain or shine.

We absolutely love these beautiful lodges. The views are breathtaking with full length patio doors giving constant views over the loch and Quinag mountains. A lot of work has been done in upgrading the lodges, making them homely and warm, and just a lovely place to relax on the balcony after a day of exploring this stunning area. This is our 7th visit and I can't think of anywhere with more stunning views than here. Beautiful to wake up to and beautiful sunsets at the end of the day, just perfect x

This was my second stay at Kylesku, the first was in 2016 when I was spoilt weatherwise with a mini heatwave and gorgeous sunsets. Returning in 2025 to a refreshed and refurbished Lodge was a delight, being October the weather was a bit mixed with little wind, some sun and some rain. “Quinag” was perfect, a lovely large bedroom, plenty of space. The towels and bedding smelt wonderful, the lodge was clean and well equipped, can’t think of anything it didn’t have. Thanks to Karen for providing a wonderful lodge and the communication before arrival was great. Hope to return one day 😊

The Sconser Lodge we stayed in was immaculate and refurbished to a very high standard, the views were breathtaking and we were even lucky enough to witness deer on our doorstep. Overall a wonderful stop on our NC500 trip.
