White Cairn suits couples, small families or friends seeking a self-contained base in the Highlands. The lodge has two bedrooms—one with a king bed and one with two singles—and two bathrooms, sleeping four. Everything needed for a proper stay is covered: heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all included, along with fuel for the wood burner.
Inside, the ground floor opens into one connected space where the living room, dining area and kitchen flow together. A wood burner anchors the lounge for cool evenings. The kitchen is fully fitted for cooking proper meals, from breakfast before a day out to dinner at the table. Upstairs, the main bedroom has its own TV and dressing area. Throughout, large windows frame views across the loch, and glazed doors lead onto decking with seating outside. Private parking on site takes two cars. The lodge is non-smoking.
Kylesku sits on the northwest coast of Sutherland, surrounded by some of Scotland's most remote and dramatic country. The area suits walkers, photographers and anyone wanting to escape without too much fuss. The famous Kylesku Bridge is within reach for a drive.

We absolutely love these beautiful lodges. The views are breathtaking with full length patio doors giving constant views over the loch and Quinag mountains. A lot of work has been done in upgrading the lodges, making them homely and warm, and just a lovely place to relax on the balcony after a day of exploring this stunning area. This is our 7th visit and I can't think of anywhere with more stunning views than here. Beautiful to wake up to and beautiful sunsets at the end of the day, just perfect x

This was my second stay at Kylesku, the first was in 2016 when I was spoilt weatherwise with a mini heatwave and gorgeous sunsets. Returning in 2025 to a refreshed and refurbished Lodge was a delight, being October the weather was a bit mixed with little wind, some sun and some rain. “Quinag” was perfect, a lovely large bedroom, plenty of space. The towels and bedding smelt wonderful, the lodge was clean and well equipped, can’t think of anything it didn’t have. Thanks to Karen for providing a wonderful lodge and the communication before arrival was great. Hope to return one day 😊

The Sconser Lodge we stayed in was immaculate and refurbished to a very high standard, the views were breathtaking and we were even lucky enough to witness deer on our doorstep. Overall a wonderful stop on our NC500 trip.
