Balintore's sandy beach and stone harbour sit less than half a mile away on foot. The village and its neighbouring Shandwick are serious draws for water sports—windsurfing, surfing and kite surfing all thrive along this stretch of coast. Cromarty, nine miles south, runs wildlife boat trips. Fort George, the 18th-century artillery fortress outside Inverness, makes a solid rainy-day visit. Golf courses and activity centres are dotted around the area.

Mermaid View is a single-storey house sleeping six across three bedrooms—a king, a double, and two singles. One bathroom with bath and separate shower serves the lot. The living and dining spaces flow together, the kitchen is fully fitted for cooking proper meals, and there is Wi-Fi throughout. An enclosed garden with patio furniture keeps dogs happy and safe; one pet stays free. Essentials like heating, linen, towels and electricity are covered. You get two parking spaces and a private front garden as well.

All rooms sit on the ground floor. No smoking indoors. Check in is after 16:00, checkout before 10:00.
