Riverside Lodge

Riverside Lodge is a substantial Norwegian log house in the Cairngorms, sleeping 11 across six bedrooms and three bathrooms. The property comes fully equipped for self-catering: the kitchen is properly fitted out, electricity and heating are included, and you have bed linen and towels provided. A wood burner warms the open-plan living and dining space. Off-road parking and secure bike storage are available, along with a travel cot, highchair and stairgate if you need them. The house does not permit smoking.

The ground floor holds four bedrooms—a double with ensuite, a second double with a separate seating area, a twin and a single—plus a bathroom with shower over bath. Upstairs are two more bedrooms: a single and a double with an additional single bed and ensuite. This layout works well for larger families or groups splitting across different areas. The setting is rural, near Rothiemurchus within Cairngorms National Park, putting you close to walking routes, skiing and other Highland activities. Aviemore has restaurants and cafes within reach. The property suits those wanting space and comfort rather than a remote retreat.
