Sealladh Breagha

This traditional cottage on the north-west coast of Skye has been updated to a high standard while keeping its character intact. Inside are three bedrooms—a kingsize with ensuite on the ground floor, and two further rooms upstairs—plus two bathrooms, sleeping six in total. The layout gives you flexibility: the downstairs bedroom offers privacy, while the upper landing has a bright workspace if you need to catch up on anything during your stay.

The main living spaces centre on a multi-fuel fire in the lounge, where you can watch across the loch toward the Cuillin mountains. A well-equipped kitchen lets you cook properly, with a breakfast bar for informal meals, and a dining room with the same views. French doors lead to a large deck with outdoor furniture and an electric barbecue. The utility room doubles as a mudroom after walks. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wi-fi are included; initial fuel for the fire is provided. One well-behaved dog stays free. No smoking inside.

Dunvegan and some of Skye's best walking routes are within reach. Private parking accommodates three cars.
