A converted farmhouse on the banks of the Spey Reservoir, Sherrabeg Cottage dates from an earlier era but was thoroughly refurbished in 2022. The building sits on private grounds within Cairngorms National Park, where working agricultural and sporting landscapes define the terrain. Eight guests can stay across four bedrooms: two with super king beds on the ground floor, two singles upstairs, and a zip-and-link room that converts to a king or stays as two singles. Four bathrooms and shower rooms mean no queues in the morning.
Ground-floor living centres on a wood burner and a fully equipped kitchen with range cooker, dishwasher and all standard appliances. French doors open to a garden with sitting-out space and furniture. Electricity, bed linen, towels and WiFi are included; the property has a natural water supply via spring. Parking for four cars sits on the private drive, and there is a bike store. Two steps lead to the entrance. No smoking throughout.
Laggan village is about four miles away, with a general store, café and local hotel. The property works best for groups or families wanting space and solitude rather than quick internet—the remote location means the connection is suitable for general use but not streaming. One dog is welcome to stay.
