Sundown Apartment

Sundown Apartment is a modern flat on the first floor of a building in Skarfskerry, the northernmost settlement in the British Isles. Large windows frame views over the water towards the Orkney Islands, and the open-plan layout combines living, dining and kitchen areas in a single bright space. The bedroom has a king bed; the shower room is sleek and compact. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are included, along with a welcome pack and access to a garden with seating and a bike store.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, fridge-freezer and coffee machine. A private parking space is yours for the duration. The location itself is the draw: from here you can walk out to spot seals on the shore, explore clifftop paths, or drive a few minutes to Dunnet Head—the most northerly point on the British mainland—where birdwatchers gather and views stretch across open sea. Dunnet Beach, with its sweep of sand, is close by for longer walks. Thurso, a proper town with shops and cafés, is a short drive away. No smoking inside the property.
