The Byre

This converted barn sits on a working farm in the Pentland Firth area, part of a cluster of three rural holiday properties. Built from traditional stone, The Byre opens onto panoramic views across the water towards the Orkney Isles. The whole place is yours alone, with private parking for two cars and a garden with patio and grass.

Inside, everything is on one level. The open-plan living space has French doors that frame the seascape, and the kitchen is equipped for proper cooking. There are two bedrooms—one with a double bed, the other with two singles—and a shower room. Essentials like bed linen, towels, heating and wi-fi are included. One well-behaved pet stays free.

The location puts you minutes from Dunnet beach, a long stretch of sand backed by dunes where swimming, surfing and wildlife watching are all on offer, yet it rarely feels busy. The area suits anyone after wild coastal scenery and outdoor activity, or simply quiet time away. No smoking inside.
