Built into Highland farmland facing north towards the Dornoch Firth and Sutherland hills, The Annex at Mains House is a substantial rural cottage designed for self-catering comfort. The property sits among fields in Easter Ross, a landscape of rolling pasture and open sky, with a shared garden and games room on the grounds.
Downstairs is open plan: a living area with Smart TV and electric fire, a dining space, and a kitchen equipped for cooking from scratch—oven, hob, dishwasher, fridge. A separate toilet is at ground level. Upstairs, a super-kingsize bedroom and a twin bedroom share a bathroom with shower over bath. Heating is electric; bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. The property sleeps four and is let whole to yourselves, with parking for two cars and a private garden featuring a barbecue, swing and sandpit. One dog is welcome free of charge and must be kept on a lead outside the garden—this is sheep country. There is a shared boot room and laundry facilities with the owner.
The games room contains a pool table, table tennis and darts. The surrounding countryside is walking terrain, and the Dornoch Firth is within sight. Tain lies inland; Dornoch further north along the coast. No smoking inside the property.
