Roggle Roich sits on the beach at Hilton, a few miles from Tain in the far north. The standout feature is the deck built right at the shore's edge, where you can watch the sea from your own private space. The cottage itself is newly refurbished and sleeps six across three bedrooms—a king, a double, and two singles. There is one bathroom with a bath and separate shower.
Downstairs you'll find a living room with a woodburner, a sunroom with coastal views, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric cooker, range, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. Heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are all covered in the price. The grounds include garden furniture and sitting areas both front and back, with parking for one car. One dog stays free.
This works well for families wanting a seaside holiday base, or for anyone who simply wants to sit and look at the water. The Hilton of Cadboll Chapel is nearby if you feel like a bit of history, though honestly most guests find the view from the deck does enough. No smoking inside the property.

We had a wonderful stay in this lovely old cottage and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The cottage was absolutely immaculate and also the best-equipped self-catering cottage we've ever experienced, with absolutely everything you could possibly need provided. It was incredibly dog friendly too, with thoughtful goodies left for both us and our dog, which was such a lovely touch. Communication with Andrew was excellent throughout. Our favourite spots were the sun lounge and the outdoor seating area overlooking the Moray Firth. We could happily have sat there for hours enjoying the view – it was so peaceful and relaxing. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and were genuinely sad to leave. We'd love to come back to Roggle Roich in the future. Easter Ross is a beautiful part of the country with stunning beaches, making it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Thank you, Andrew, for such a fantastic stay!

This is an amazing place. Beautiful view, history next door at the Pictish stone of Hilton of Cadboll, stunning hospitality. The hosts set us up with breakfast, coffee, tea and snacksand best of all... instructions for all of the conveniences we weren't familiar with! How to use that efficient washer and dryer, how to make the fancy espresso machine work and how to use the positively indulgent shower. Beautiful, spacious, book-filled and light-filled living room, sun room, bedrooms, kitchen and garden. We learned that this house was the village inn in a previous incarnation. And with its own shoreline garden, do not miss!

Fantastic place to stay for a week away. Very well appointed house, great for a base for exploring a host of beautiful places in this part of Scotland and comfortable enough for a cosy day indoors if you'd prefer that.
