The Big Hoose
Highland
The Big Hoose is a substantial stone house built on elevated ground in the Highlands, with countryside views across the surrounding landscape. A double-height hall greets you on arrival, complete with a piano. The property has four bedrooms—a double on the ground floor, a kingsize with ensuite on the first floor, and two further doubles (one with twins)—and three bathrooms across the building. It sleeps eight in total.
Downstairs, a games room with pool table and Xbox connects via French doors to decking, while the living room centres on a wood burner with comfortable seating and its own doors out to the garden. The kitchen/dining room is equipped for proper cooking, with a dishwasher, gas hob and electric oven. A utility room has a washing machine. Bed linen, towels, wifi, heating and initial firewood are all included. The enclosed rear garden, furnished with chairs and tables, runs the length of the house, and a six-person hot tub sits on the decking. The front has parking for four cars.
This suits families or groups wanting a base for exploring the Highlands. A pub and restaurant are five miles away; the nearest shop is 23 miles. The property is no-smoking, and one pet is welcome.
