The Old School House occupies a former village school in rural north-west Sutherland, transformed into a stone cottage surrounded by its own enclosed gardens. The house sits on one level, with a spacious living and dining room that runs the length of the building, featuring original high ceilings, large windows and a Victorian fireplace. From the garden seat, you can look across the bay towards Handa Island and the Outer Isles, with Foinavon, Ben Stack and Arkle visible on the horizon.
Three bedrooms sleep six: a super king double, a twin room, and a third bedroom with bunks suitable for children. There is one bathroom with a bath and shower. The kitchen has an electric cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. The enclosed lawned garden has a terrace, sitting area and BBQ, and one dog stays free. Bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are included. The property is non-smoking.
