The Peaks

Families and small groups will find The Peaks works well for a Highland break. It's a ground-floor apartment sleeping five, with three bedrooms—a double with ensuite shower, a twin, and a single—plus a family bathroom. The open-plan kitchen, dining and living area gives everyone room to spread out, and patio doors open onto a garden where you can sit outside. One dog can stay free of charge.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric oven, induction hob, dishwasher and washer-dryer. Biomass heating keeps things warm, and Wi-Fi, bed linen and towels are all included. There is parking for one car on site, and an electric vehicle charging point if you need it.

Aviemore town centre is within walking distance, with shops, cafes and restaurants. The apartment sits at the quieter edge of things, with fields at the back, but close enough to reach the main street without effort. Cairngorm Mountain Resort is nearby for winter sports, and the wider national park offers year-round walking and outdoor activities. No smoking inside.
