The Pines

The Pines sits on the Aviemore Holiday Park beside the River Spey, within walking distance of the town centre. Everything here is on the ground floor: a combined living and dining space with a 32" TV, Freesat and electric fire opens onto a decked patio with garden furniture. The kitchen has a gas oven and hob, dishwasher and washing machine. One kingsize bedroom is served by an ensuite shower room, and there's a second shower room as well. Bed linen, towels, heating and WiFi are all included; there's private parking for one car.

Aviemore itself offers shops, restaurants and bars within easy reach—a pub is 200 yards away. The real draw, though, is what lies beyond: the town sits in the heart of the Cairngorms, where you can walk or bike the hills, climb rock faces, or ski when conditions allow. Loch Morlich and Loch Insch are close by for water sports. The Speyside Way runs through here for longer routes. The Reindeer Centre at Aviemore and Highland Wildlife Park near Kingussie are popular visits, as is Landmark Forest Adventure Park at Carrbridge. The Moray coastline with its fishing villages and beaches is within a couple of hours' drive, and the Isle of Skye and Orkney are possible as longer trips.
