Fort William sits at the heart of the Highlands' outdoor scene, surrounded by mountains, lochs and glens that draw walkers, climbers and mountain bikers year-round. Woodend is a stone cottage positioned between the town centre and Ben Nevis itself, making it a practical base for exploring the area. The West Highland Way passes through; the Nevis River runs nearby for quieter riverside walks.
Inside, the property sleeps four across two bedrooms—a double and two singles upstairs, with a sofa bed downstairs should you need the extra flexibility. Downstairs is open-plan, combining living space with a kitchen equipped for proper cooking: electric oven, hob, microwave and washing machine. A bathroom with bath serves the property. Heating, electricity, wi-fi and bed linen are all included. Outside, there's a terraced garden with seating and parking for two cars on site. One dog is welcome at no extra cost.
Within half a mile are the town's shops, pubs and restaurants, plus a beach. Day trips fan out easily: the Jacobite steam train to Glenfinnan, boat trips on Loch Linnhe, the Ardnamurchan Peninsula to the west, or inland to Glencoe and beyond. An unfenced stream and three steps in the garden are worth noting. No smoking inside the property.
