About John O'Groats Apartments and Lodges

John o' Groats Apartments and Lodges offers private lodges and pods rather than pitches, making it a base for exploring Britain's far north rather than a traditional campsite. The site sits on the A99 at John o' Groats itself, with the iconic signpost just a short walk away, and is surrounded by open Highland landscape ideal for walking and wildlife watching. Nearby water and coastal access makes it suited to those wanting breaks by the sea without the drive.

Accommodation is self-contained, ranging from contemporary apartments to standalone lodges. The site has disabled access, welcomes pets and families, and provides showers and other facilities. There is a restaurant and cafe on site, plus a shop. A caravan and camping site operates separately nearby if you need pitches instead.

Absolutely stunning! Stayed here last minute as the ferry to Orkney was cancelled and ended up staying for 3 days. It was a beautiful area to stay, right on John O'Groats, with the famous sign right in view. The accommodation was great too. Would definitely stay here again!

Such an amazing place! So beautiful and peaceful. Fully stocked kitchen, cozy beds, laundry. What more could you want?! We all wished we could stay longer

We were so lucky booked in this landmark hotel. Dog friendly and so comfortable. Fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bed. Very roomy. A home away from home.

This is the 2nd time coming here. Absolutely love how quiet and peaceful it is. It was my Dads favourite place to come to before he passed so I will be continuing to come here every year. Lodges are designed and beautifully made. Open plan kitchen. You can see the view of the sea and in the spring and summer time you can watch the rabbits running about. You have everything you need in the lodges. Essentials in the kitchen and bathroom. The review down below mine. There always has to be that one person not sure what he’s talking about because you couldn’t find anything more peaceful than this. If you had a problem with the noise at your lodge then bring it up to someone’s attention 🙄🙄 anyway I would recommend to anyone to come stay at these lodges for a peaceful relaxing time away. Many thanks again!
