What diners say
I’ve been going to Byron for years, back when they used to have a restaurant in Hoxton Square (some 10+ years ago) so have vivid memories of the quality of the food being good. After deciding for ages where to eat for a low key bday dinner. I thought we’d give this place a try as I know during Covid they had to shut a lot of the places down, so having seen they’ve began opening and expanding more restaurants (and for abit of nostalgia) we’d give it ago. My expectations were high as I remember how good the burgers were back in the day. One thing I noticed was the new addition to the menu this time round was that I could upgrade the patty for an extra £3 to a Wagyu blend ground beef which sounded like an interesting idea. I went ahead & upgraded my Byron burger expecting something really good. Well what can I say the quality has gone way down hill, they used to cook the burgers medium rare and the patty used to be juicy. The burger was cooked well done to the point it was a bit dry, the seeded bun slowly disintegrated with every bite until I ended up with more burger than bun. Left really disappointed, perhaps since I last went to Bryon I’ve had better quality burgers and my pallet has improved, but on this occasion I doubt I’ll be going back as for the same price I could go Meat Liquor, Honest Burger or Hawksmoor for a much better burger.

burger and fries were so good. you could tell that they were done properly also because they weren't heavy on the stomach afterwards. service was a bit slow though.

We had a lovely meal here. My husband found a hair in his burger however the staff were amazing and took his burger and drink off the bill and offered to make him a new one - more than once. We would happily go back again. The staff were friendly and welcoming
