The Thames curves through this part of Southwark in a way that's still recognisably working-river rather than postcard backdrop. On The Thames sits among the warehouses and wharves of the south bank, where the water's always busy with boats and the path alongside runs for miles in either direction. You're steps from the Uber Boat stop, which means you can reach Westminster, Greenwich or Embankment by water; on foot, there's Surrey Docks Farm to one side, the markets and bars of Bermondsey to the other, and London Bridge station a short walk away.
The property is a two-bedroom, two-bathroom pub conversion that you have entirely to yourself. Both bedrooms have zip-and-link beds (configure as you need them), and there are proper bathrooms with baths and showers rather than one or the other. Downstairs, the kitchen has everything for cooking—gas oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave, air fryer—and there's a separate dining room and living room with a smart TV. An enclosed garden with patio and seating looks onto the street; private parking for one car is on site. Essentials like heating, electricity, linen and towels are covered, plus wifi and a welcome pack. One well-behaved dog is welcome and stays free.
This suits people who want to be in central London but don't need to be in the middle of the West End, or anyone keen on the Thames Path for running and walking. No smoking indoors. Arrive after 4pm, leave by 10am.

Table by the Thames outside was great. We were just here for drinks and a snack. Ok service time after ordering. Drinks were prompt and food a bit later. The King prawn and smoked Scottish salmon cocktail was heavily seasoned with mayo and cayenne. The shrimp were al dente. The Halloumi fries (a version of mozzarella sticks) were ok as well. Not great not terrible. Food just ok. Venue better.

This pub has become a bit of a favourite for the partner and I when we're in London due to its great location on the river, it's incredible size, meaning that it's usually possible to find a table at moderately busy times of the week, and it generally has at least London pride on tap as well as real Budvar.

Yash and his fellow coworkers treated our group of 14 amazingly!! We were seated immediately with extremely quick service even accommodating our crazy request to make iced tea with ice and a pot of hot tea. We are an American AP literature group from a small texas high school that thoroughly loved the atmosphere at Nicholson’s. We have eaten and explored our way across London for the past three days and this food has far surpassed all meals! Thank you for ending our trip on a very delicious note!

The Old Thameside Inn, a stones throw from Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market. A super cavernous pub offering unrivalled views of Old Father Thames. A great offering of beers from Nicholson's. The pub has copious outside seating to watch the boats go by. The Golden Hinde lives nextdoor and is currently undergoing extensive refurbishment. A great riverside pub.
