About Partfield Park

Stay overnight between sand dunes and the fells of the Lake District at Partfield Park, a small family-run site in the coastal village of Drigg. The beach and Cumbria's largest dune system are half an hour's walk away, while paddles on Wastwater are just 20 minutes by car in the opposite direction. The site sits directly on the Cumbrian Coastal Route for dreamy seafront strolls, and Wasdale – gateway to Scafell Pike, England's highest summit – is half an hour's drive for serious fell-walkers.

Back at base, facilities include hot showers, a well-stocked food shop with local produce and off-licence, plus accessible toilets and chemical disposal. The pitches offer both grass and hardstanding options for motorhomes, and the site welcomes dogs, families, motorcyclists and Duke of Edinburgh groups. Nearby Seascale, a former Victorian resort just five minutes away, has another beach, ice cream, a golf course and train station. With clouds often rolling over the valley and those sweeping coastal views, it's a genuinely scenic spot – though the terrain can be uneven underfoot in places.
