What visitors say

The museum is free to enter and has extensive and varied displays across various buildings around a central courtyard. It is definitely worth an hour or so to look round everything. I also highly recommend the gingerbread which is on sale in the shop at the entrance. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Brilliant museum! Something for everyone to be interested in, Free entry! Super friendly volunteers and very clean toilets!! If it had a cafe, you could spend literally the whole day there.

This is a lovely museum, I particularly liked the local history displays (mostly covering the last 100 years) both in the main building and in the barn, the library room (again plenty of local history material) - and also the garden area. We took our grandkids to the craft activities in the school holidays only £1 each! The museum is free entry by the way

A calm and pleasant place to visit. The staff was excellent, and the surroundings were welcoming. They offer a great selection of affordable, pre-loved items for sale.
