About Wild Boar Wood Campsite
Tucked into ancient woodland near Horsted Keynes, Wild Boar Wood offers proper off-grid escape in nine beautifully furnished bell tents. Each comes with comfortable beds, fairy lights and a fire pit outside, where you can cook over open flames and settle in for long evenings under the trees. Facilities keep things simple – bucket showers (warmed over your campfire), composting loos, drinking water – but that's entirely the point here.
The forest setting feels genuinely remote, with wild garlic carpeting the ground in spring and enough space between pitches for real privacy. Note there's no WiFi and no dogs allowed, which helps preserve the peaceful atmosphere. It's family-friendly without being manicured, and makes an excellent base for exploring the Sussex Weald, Ashdown Forest, or the Bluebell Railway at nearby Sheffield Park.

Spoiled ourselves with a glamping weekend for me and the littlest.. perfect hideaway to relax. Tents were complete with mattresses ( very comfortable) and all the utensils that you would need. Only needed bedding and food! Site is relaxed with amazing wardens who check that everything is ok and are hand if you need help with firefighting or general info. We really enjoyed ourselves. Added bonus for train enthusiasts as the bluebell railway runs along the site and toots when it passes.. 😊

What an amazing experience with nature a perfect please to bring your children unwind and get a real connection. Staff were amazing location was perfect so peaceful and relaxing environment. What I loved the most was just being in nature with peace and quiet no loud music or drunk people making noises. A Little gem hidden in a beautiful ancient woodland I would highly recommend to anyone looking get a real connection. Not an internet connection a connection to Mother Earth 🌍

We love wildboard wood and stay with our kids and friends every year. So relaxing and calming, and the facilities are great. Its camping but very comfortable ! Thx

It was our first experience camping as a whole family and we had a wonderful time, the wardens were super helpful and they provided all the things we needed. They were very friendly and gave us lovely tips. The camping is located in a beautiful wood and our kids had a great time playing around and making new friends over the weekend. We will get back soon. Thank you J and T
