Sheriff Cottage stands in quiet countryside outside Horsted Keynes, a village in the heart of Mid Sussex. The surrounding landscape is typical of the Weald—gentle, wooded, and dotted with small settlements. Half a mile down the lane runs the Bluebell Railway, a heritage steam line that connects Sheffield Park with East Grinstead across 12 miles of picturesque Sussex terrain.

The cottage itself is a Victorian end-terrace with three bedrooms and one bathroom. Downstairs there's a dining hall with high ceilings, a separate living room at the front, and a compact kitchen for self-catering. Upstairs: a bedroom with a king bed, one with a double, and a third with a bunk frame (double base, single above). The bathroom has a freestanding period bath with shower. A garden room adjoining the main cottage serves as extra sitting space with a TV, board games and room to spread out. The enclosed garden combines traditional cottage planting with black bamboo for contemporary contrast. One car can park on site; a bike store is also available. Essentials including wi-fi, bed linen and towels are provided. The property sleeps six and welcomes one pet. No smoking inside.
