Camping and touring within a historic 200-acre estate near Sproatley, eight miles from Hull

About Burton Constable Holiday Park

Burton Constable Holiday Park sits within the 200-acre grounds of Burton Constable Hall, an Elizabethan mansion set in parkland originally laid out by Capability Brown. Run by the Constable family for over fifty years, it's grown into one of the larger sites in East Yorkshire while keeping a genuine sense of its historic setting. Touring pitches and grass tent pitches (with and without electric hook-ups) are spread across the estate, alongside glamping pods and static lodges. The site is dog-friendly, allowing up to three dogs per pitch.

On-site facilities include modern shower and toilet blocks, a shop, and a bar with regular entertainment and food service. Fishing on the estate's North Lake is a major draw, and guests can explore the wider grounds, including an arboretum and the hall itself. Some visitors note the site can feel a little tired in places, but the historic surroundings and range of amenities still make it a solid base. The East Yorkshire coast at Hornsea is twenty minutes away, and Hull city centre—museums, marina and all—is under half an hour's drive.

What a wonderful place to visit. It is an amazing beautiful place. All around very clean, quiet and with very friendly staff. I will definitely come back with my little one, which also really enjoyed the place. Plenty of things for little ones to see, including the park. The pod was very clean, including the toilet facilities and shower. It became our new favourite place. Plus there is a beach 25 minutes away (Burnsea beach) which is 5 stars mainly if you have kids.

Wow - the glampimg pods were very well equipped (deluxe) and surpassed our expectations. The grounds are absolutely amazing. Fantastic cafe and ice cream from the general shop on site and a great bar to sit put and enjoy the views and peaceful atmosphere. The shower and toilet facilities are the best we've experienced as campers. A great stay all round.

Had an absolutely wonderful few days at Burton Constable in a very comfortable, cosy and well equipped caravan overlooking the magnificent lake. The accommodation was warm upon arrival which was a bonus as we stayed the second week in January and had everything we needed for a four night break away. It was immaculately clean with lovely furnishings, very comfortable beds, and a lovely hot shower. The site itself is immaculate, very well maintained and has everything you need including a bar, shop and cafe, a lending library and free to use secure dog park. This is a wonderful place to come with your dog, our boy Rusty loves it ❤️ Its a nice quiet site with lots of wildlife to spot and guests are very considerate of others. The walk to the Hall is lovely and the house itself is well worth a visit with lots of history attached and interesting things to see. Plus the Stables Cafe does the best cake ever and the breakfasts they were serving up looked absolutely delicious. The staff on Reception are very friendly, happy and attentive and they bend over backwards to make sure you have a great stay This was our second stay with a third booked already for summer. Burton Constable Holiday Park comes highly recommended and i give it five stars 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 🥰🥰🥰

We stayed for 3 nights in the deluxe pods and what an absolute treat. All the fun of camping without the hassle of a tent is just what we were looking for. The grounds are beautiful, the pods are clean and the staff are all really friendly. We enjoyed a lovely and very reasonably priced breakfast at the onsite shop/cafe and a freshly made pizza in the on site bar. The bar is very reasonably priced with lovely staff. The pub could do with an update but didn't effect our experience at all and will definitely go back! Im a wheelchair user and they couldn't do enough to accommodate me in both the pub and shop/cafe
