About Courtyard Inverness Airport by Marriott
A varied breakfast buffet and an on-site bar and restaurant give Courtyard Inverness Airport by Marriott a solid base for early flights or evenings in after a day exploring, though the food itself doesn't always land as well as the setting suggests. Drinks are available in the room too, and packed lunches and kids' meals can be arranged for those heading out to Loch Ness or the wider Highlands.
The hotel has 130 rooms across four floors, with air conditioning, en-suite bathrooms and family and accessible options among them. Rooms are consistently described as comfortable and modern, with showers that stand out in particular. There's a lift, free WiFi throughout, and staff noted for being friendly and professional.
Practical extras include a gym, business services and meeting rooms, an electric vehicle charge point, and free on-site parking. Golf, fishing and watersports are all nearby, along with pubs and restaurants for those who fancy eating out rather than in. Pets are welcome, and its position near Inverness Airport makes it a straightforward stopover for onward journeys around the Highlands.
What guests say
While we did not get much time in Inverness, the location for our stay was perfect for an early morning flight. The room & bathroom were clean and comfortable. It was quiet and the kitchen bar was very convenient. We enjoyed a decent dinner and restaurant services were friendly despite how busy it was! I only wish the initial introduction and check in was friendlier. The two ladies at the desk didn’t smile, seemed a bit standoffish and generally annoyed. The gentleman at checkout was much kinder.

I preface this review by saying the room cost over £600 for 2 nights and needs to be judged as such. For that price I expect far better than what I got. We gave our name to check in and the first thing I was told by the receptionist was that my card had been declined, but I hadn't given any card to reception. Plus, the room was paid in full. After the receptionist confirmed this was true I asked if I needed to add my card to the room since we would be spending on site. I was told no card was necessary and we could pay as and when we bought things. We went to the bar for a drink and was told they don't take cards or cash, only room keys. So I had to go back to the receptionist to add the card to the room. The room... hairs on the towel, hairs in the shower and the table in the room hadn't been wiped and was sticky. The shampoo bottle was just an empty bottle with zero shampoo inside. For £100/night these issues wouldn't be a problem, but £300/night they are unacceptable. The one good thing is the lady host running breakfast was fabulous. And the breakfast food is nice too.

The hotel looks brand new inside. Spatious rooms, free parking. The restaurant is fine if you don't want to adventure into town. The breakfast buffet is generous, but not included. Receptionists can call a taxi into town quickly, as often there are some waiting at the airport. There is a train into town but runs once an hour so you'd need to plan your trip.

What a great airport hotel!! We were so wonderfully surprised by the quality of the hotel, the rooms, and the on site restaurant. We booked a king room for one night before flying to Shetland. The hotel is located directly across from the airport. No more than a 2 minute walk to the terminal. The check in process was fast and the service was excellent. Our room was ready and we were able to check in a bit early after a long drive. That was very much appreciated!! We decided to have dinner at the restaurant located right in the hotel and we were not disappointed. A burger, venison steak, and drinks were the perfect way to end the day and everything was delicious. Our room was very quiet and immaculately clean. Like no other airport hotel we have experienced, and we’ve stayed at many! The bed was very comfortable and the room had a comfy sofa al large screen TV. The bathroom was great. Large walk in shower and spotless. Truly a quality stay at a very reasonable price. Very highly recommended! 5-star all the way! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
