Easter Dalziel Farm Cottages - Birch Cottage

Photo: Easter Dalziel Farm Cottages

Bottlenose dolphins appear year-round in waters less than a mile away, and sandy beaches at Nairn and Rosemarkie are within easy reach. Inverness itself is close by, as is Loch Ness and the road west towards Skye. The setting here is rural—Highland cattle graze the surrounding pasture and woodland—yet you're never far from the Moray Firth coast.

Birch Cottage is a 19th-century farmhouse accommodating six people across three bedrooms: a double and twin on the ground floor, another double upstairs. The ground floor also holds the main living space, where an original mid-20th-century stove sits in the open-plan kitchen and dining area, alongside a full set of appliances for self-catering. A single bathroom serves the property. Essentials including heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi are provided. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. There are steps within the grounds, and the property is non-smoking.

A shared garden with sitting areas wraps around the cottage, and private parking for two cars is on site. A travel cot and highchair are available if needed. The farm is reached via the back road to Nairn, putting it on the quieter side of Inverness while keeping most of Highland's highlights within a short drive.

We stayed in the aire in our moho, convenient for the airport, not many planes flying over, but some are loud first thing in the morning.

Really lovely peaceful stay. Owners are very friendly and accommodating. House itself was well laid out and as we stayed over Easter, they had left out an Easter egg hunt box and some local delicacies which was very much appreciated. Situated five minutes from Inverness.

When we arrived we were greeted with a cottage which had been meticulously cleaned.it was spacious, well furnished with all amenities in good working order. Our stay at pine cottage was further enhanced by the beautiful gardens and play apporatus for the kids, fantastic views also. !!
