About Eildon Guest House
Inverness makes a natural base for touring the Highlands and Loch Ness, and Eildon Guest House sits on Old Edinburgh Road in a quiet spot that's still within walking distance of the city centre. With just five rooms, it has the feel of a small, personally run guest house rather than a hotel, and staff are on hand around the clock via 24 hour reception.
Rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with en-suite bathrooms kept spotless, and free WiFi throughout. Breakfast is a highlight, with a substantial spread of choices including vegan options to set guests up for a day exploring the Highlands. Free on-site parking makes arriving by car straightforward, which is useful given the surrounding countryside is best explored independently.
Golf, fishing, pubs and restaurants are all nearby, and the central location means the city's shops and eateries are an easy walk away. It's a solid, well-run choice for anyone wanting a peaceful stay with easy access to both Inverness itself and the wider Highlands.

Huge clean room and bathroom, Wonderful hostess. Centrally located to walk to town and to walk River Ness. Easy to get to Clava Cairns, Culloden Battlefield, and Cawdor Castle.

Jacqueline gave us a lovely, warm welcome. She showed us to our rooms and explained how the shower worked, the WiFi details, and breakfast information. The room was large and airy and really clean. The bathroom looked brand new with a very good shower. The bed was comfy and there were teabags, coffee and biscuits available. I would highly recommend this bed and breakfast. It is about a five to ten minute walk into town, depending on how fast you walk. The breakfast was delicious and Jacqueline was great about providing vegan food for me.
