Very homely and made to feel very welcome by Sergio. Rooms although little quirky are very homely and comfortable and offered the best nights sleep we've had in a long time. Great location close to city centre which was a 15 minute walk away. Overall Sergio was a fantastic host and couldn't do enough for us, it was a pleasure to stay at his b&b and will definitely return.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ After just one night, I can already see why this place receives such great reviews. The room is full of character, with colourful painted floorboards, vintage furniture and thoughtful touches throughout. It's comfortable, spotlessly clean and completely different from the standard chain hotel experience. What really stands out, however, is the hospitality. This morning I was treated to freshly made porridge with honey from the owner's own garden. Before heading out for a day exploring the Highlands, I was also invited to help myself to sandwich-making supplies, fresh fruit and snacks for the journey. It's the sort of genuine kindness and generosity that you simply don't find everywhere. You can tell that the owner genuinely cares about his guests and wants them to enjoy their stay. A wonderful place to stay and somewhere I would happily recommend to anyone visiting Inverness.

We booked two nights at Averon House. From the moment we arrived, we appreciated Sergio's kindness. We felt right at home. We also appreciated the reserved parking space nearby. Sergio is a very attentive person, concerned about the well-being of his guests, even down to preparing his homemade porridge. He kindly offered us lunch bags for our excursions and also invited us to enjoy a whisky. His house, full of charm and life, is very well maintained. It is located in a peaceful neighborhood in the heart of Inverness. This stay will remain a wonderful memory for us, marked by humanity, kindness, generosity, and empathy. It was a great pleasure to meet Sergio.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B in Inverness. The house is warm and full of character, with little touches that make it feel almost like a storybook cottage. Cozy, inviting, and picturesque, it feels more like a home than just accommodation. The location is another highlight: set in a lovely, quiet neighborhood yet only a short 6–8 minute walk from the city center, it combines tranquility with convenience perfectly. What truly made our experience unforgettable was Sérgio. He welcomed us with genuine kindness, always attentive and thoughtful, and served breakfast as if we were lifelong friends. His warmth and hospitality gave the whole stay a personal, almost magical touch, turning a visit into a memory we’ll always treasure. If you’re looking for comfort, character, and the kind of hospitality that makes you feel instantly at home, this is the place to be in Inverness. Rita & Fábio
