Couples, small families and solo travellers will find The Dairy works well as a base on the Isle of Wight. This former farm building sits in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty near Ventnor, with direct access to the Red Squirrel Trail—a 32-mile network of footpaths and bridleways through island countryside. The beach is a 5-minute drive away. One well-behaved dog stays free.
Everything is on the ground floor: an open-plan living space with a wood-burning stove, dining area and kitchen equipped for proper cooking, plus French doors opening to a private garden that overlooks farmland. There are two bedrooms—one with a king bed, one with a single—and a shower room with a walk-in enclosure. Wifi, electricity, bed linen and towels are included. The property is yours alone; there is no shared access.
A washing machine and tumble dryer are available in a shared laundry room. Private parking for one car sits on site, and an electric charging point can be used for a fee. No smoking throughout. Check-in is after 15:30, departure before 09:00.

A really nice place to stay. Located in Wroxall, it’s pretty close to Shanklin and Ventnor. You’re on a working farm, so horses are about, which was nice to see. The property has been done up to a high spec. Plenty of room in the bedrooms, and having a downstairs toilet was an added bonus. The kitchen had a dishwasher for use, which was good, and the oven worked well for the one night we grabbed a pizza and cooked. The farm has its own access to the cycle path, which was easy to follow and was a nice walk. The only downside was the property needed a bit more of a deep clean. Quite a few spider webs were in the property when we arrived, and flies were a problem. Even the fly spray didn’t really work. On the flip side, when we did have a problem with the shower, it was fixed quickly, which was good. There’s parking on site and easily by the property, so that’s good. Overall, the stay was really nice, had everything we needed it for, just need a bit of a deeper clean.
