Borthwood Copse, a National Trust woodland of ancient oaks and beeches, sits across from Hill Cottage in rural Isle of Wight between Alverstone and Apse Heath. The trees draw red squirrels and offer easy walking; Sandown and Shanklin, with their beaches, shops and restaurants, are a short drive away, and the local bus stop is just outside.
The main house contains three bedrooms: a super-kingsize with ensuite shower, a double, and three singles. There are two further bathrooms, a conservatory off the dining room, and a kitchen with gas and electric cooking. The separate annexe on the ground floor has an open-plan living area with television and a kingsize bedroom with bath and shower. Essentials including bed linen, towels, electricity and wifi are provided.
Hill Cottage is a whole property to yourselves with private parking for three cars and a garden with patio. It sleeps nine in total and one well-behaved pet is welcome. No smoking inside.
