About The Royson Guest House

Littlestairs Road sits close to Shanklin's coastline, and The Royson Guest House makes the most of that position with sea views from many of its windows. It's a family-run guest house with a relaxed, homely feel rather than a polished hotel finish, and rooms are kept simple and comfortable rather than styled to the last detail.

Bedrooms come with en-suite bathrooms, family rooms are available, and each room has drinks provided along with free WiFi throughout. Guests can start the day with breakfast, and packed lunches can be arranged for days out exploring the island. The sunroom and communal living area give the place a sociable, unhurried atmosphere, and there's also a games room for guests looking to fill an evening. Free on-site parking and 24-hour reception add convenience for arrivals at any time.

The surrounding area suits walkers and cyclists, with golf, fishing and watersports all nearby for anyone wanting to get out onto the water or the coast path. Pubs, restaurants and entertainment are within easy reach too, making it a straightforward base for exploring Shanklin and the coastline beyond it.

What a brilliant place! My partner and I stayed for 3 night and we couldn’t have asked for better hosts. Our breakfast was fantastic every morning and there was plenty to choose from. We loved all the little touches in the room such as hot chocolate, marshmallows, beach towels and other beach toys to borrow whenever you need. Location was lovely and right by the beach. We would definitely recommend

What a lovely cosy place! Cooked and continental breakfast were delicious. Nigel and Sharon were very welcoming and making sure that everything was fine. The beds were comfy, hot beverages were provided in the room like hot chocolate, coffee and tea. Little things that we appreciated a lot, was the details of the decor, the room service, the continental breakfast like the overnight oats, the games in the room, tourist information flyers and many more things.

Great place to stay 😊 We were lucky to spend a week at The Royson Guest House for our residential school trip. Nigel and Sharon were so warm towards us, including their children and dog, Obi. They kept us well-fed with their delicious dinners (please make sure that you try their Mediterranean rice dish) and wholesome breakfasts! They welcomed us back each night with a hot chocolate drink, which warmed our souls after long days filled with activities. Sharon kept us up-to-date with news about the weather, which we appreciated. All in all, thank you for your kindness that you have shown towards us. We look forward to coming back again next year.

Royson Guest House was exceptional, great location, Shanklin beach is nearby. Residential street, so peaceful and quiet with parking at the front of the property. The hosts were very warm, welcoming, friendly and attentive. We arrived a little earlier than expected but the hosts were very accommodating and gave us the keys to our rooms. Breakfast was amazing! especially the crepes/pancakes and waffles. There is varied options for cooked breakfasts and additional too, like toast, cereals other refreshments. Rooms were better than expected, family room had a beautiful view of the sea. Rooms had Tea and coffee facilities, little treats, fridge, iron/ironing board, clean rooms and bathrooms. Hosts also provided us with bottles of water and refilled when needed, which was kind of them. There is a pool table at the breakfast/dining room and a playroom adjacent to it, for young ones/teens to be kept entertained. Beach essentials, like towels, mats, buckets and spades are there to be borrowed which I thought was a lovely touch. We very much enjoyed our stay at Royson Guest House and there is plenty to do at The Isle of Wight. Needles is a must visit, if you are visiting Isle of Wight.
