The steam railway runs through here, and The White Hart Inn serves food and drink within the village. From this quiet spot, the Isle of Wight's main attractions—The Needles, Blackgang Chine, Dinosaur Isle, Ventnor Botanical Gardens and Osborne House among them—are all within reach by car or cycle.

Longford Cottage is a recently refurbished property sleeping up to 5 guests across two bedrooms: a double on the ground floor and a king on the first floor, plus a single sofa bed in an upstairs sitting room. The bathroom is the standout feature, fitted with both a bath and walk-in shower. A full kitchen opens via patio doors to the rear garden, where there's seating and views across the surrounding landscape. Bike storage and parking for two cars are provided. One well-behaved pet stays free of charge.
