About The Fishbourne

The Fishbourne suits visitors after a straightforward, no-fuss stay rather than a grand hotel experience - couples, walkers or cyclists passing through Ryde who want a comfortable room attached to a proper pub kitchen. With just five rooms, it has the feel of a small local rather than a large resort, and free on-site parking makes it easy for anyone arriving by car.

Food is the main draw. The restaurant and bar serve generous breakfasts, Sunday roasts and fish and chips, with gluten-free and vegan options available, and there's outdoor seating for warmer days. Drinks can be brought to the room, packed lunches are available for day trips, and reception operates around the clock. Prices are reasonable and the toilets are kept notably clean, though service has been known to vary in consistency.

The location on Fishbourne Lane puts guests within reach of walking and cycling routes, watersports, fishing and further pubs and restaurants nearby, making it a workable base for exploring the Isle of Wight's coast and countryside. Free WiFi covers the practical basics, and the setup rewards those happy to prioritise good food and an easy bed over extensive facilities.

I just wanted to praise ALL the staff. Myself, hubby and a couple of friends enjoyed a wonderful, tasty breakfast today. It was honestly the best value and enjoyable that we've had in a long time. The staff were working in extremely hot conditions too but that didn't stop the great service and food. Thank you 🫶❤️

Stopped off for breakfast before catching our ferry to the mainland. The full English was delicious as was the Eggs Royale, highly recommend going in before setting off on the ferry. The service was prompt, the staff were really friendly. The loos where nice and clean. Will be coming back for a meal out next time.

We've come here since I was tiny. This year 30+ years on I've bought my parents back to reminsie with our toddler daughter. It's still just as beautiful, and the Breakfast was amazing. Fresh, and not greasy. I would highly recommend. Just off the IOW ferry terminal. Perfect location. Thank you Louise for your amazing cooking and care and also to Tracy for your welcoming, friendly nature and excellent service.

Just returned from spending 3 nights at the Fishbourne Inn. Nice room, spotlessly clean. The breakfasts (cooked by Louise) were exceptionally good and the Isle of Wight Coffee was delightful. Ten minutes walk from Southern Vectis bus stops and right on top of the coastal footpath. In spite of rather variable weather it was a perfect break!! Nigel and Diane
