About Lakeside Park Hotel & Spa
Lakeside Park sits off the A3054 at Wootton Bridge, roughly midway between Ryde and Newport, which makes it one of the easiest bases on the Island for touring. The hotel occupies seventeen acres of grounds looking out over a twenty-acre lake, and the setting does a lot of the work: water views from most public rooms, walking paths through the grounds and a genuine sense of space that seafront hotels cannot offer.
Rooms are modern and generously sized, with air conditioning, walk-in showers or baths, and a choice of lake-facing or garden-facing outlooks. Suites and family rooms are available, and the newer wing rooms are the ones to ask for. The hotel is rated four stars by the AA with a quality score in the high seventies, and it is used for weddings and conferences as well as leisure stays, so standards of housekeeping are consistent.
The spa is the main draw. There is a ten-metre indoor pool with hydro jets, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi and experience shower, plus a thermal spa garden with an outdoor hot tub and two garden saunas. Treatment rooms cover massage, reflexology, hydrotherapy and the usual beauty list, and day packages are sold to non-residents as well as guests. A gym and relaxation room complete the facilities.
Dining is in the lakeside brasserie, which serves both a carte and set menus with a reasonable amount of Island produce, and there is a bar and terrace for lighter meals. The hotel suits couples on a spa break, groups celebrating something, and anyone who wants a comfortable four-star standard without paying seafront prices. Osborne House, Quarr Abbey and the Fishbourne ferry terminal are all within ten minutes' drive.

What guests say
I visited numerous hotels in Isles, this is the best one in terms of rooms, service. The view of hotel room absolutely peaceful. Location is also slightly close to the beach. If you don’t have a car you can take the bus in front of the hotel. The people are so kind and well qualified. Strongly recommend to visit at least one night. The only negative thing is, it has a limited time for the kids to swim in the swimming pool.

My son gifted me a spa experience for Christmas. Overall I had a nice day. The treatment I had was lovely and the staff helpful but everything in the spa looked tired. The towel that you lay under for your treatment was thick with oil, at first i wondered if it had been used for someone else. I get that there will be oil on the towel but surely a good hot wash and replacement when they can't be cleaned anymore should be protocol, the material can be recyled. The gowns are so tired and tatty, mine was missing a loop for the tie cord. The spa needs a bit of a freshen up, small things like when I hung my towel on a hook the hook was loose. The shower curtains in the changing room are tired and need replacement, many of the lockers in the changing room dont lock. Small things but when you go for an experience you want it all to feel like a little bit of luxury. The afternoon tea was delicious and overall I had a nice time but its not cheap and I think could do much better with a bit of thought for the small touches that make an experience more enjoyable all round.

Very limited menu. I had chicken, my partner had steak. Both meals were too salty. The sauce with my chicken was really thick and the rosti was hard. We ordered a side of fries which came smothered in salt! Please allow people to add their own . Would not eat here again.

I genuinely enjoy my stays at the hotel. The view offers such tranquility, and the public transportation connections are excellent, making it very convenient to explore the Isle of Wight. However, I believe the spa facilities would benefit from a renovation.
