The Granary

Isle of Wight

Yarmouth and the surrounding villages on the Isle of Wight's south-west coast offer a quieter pace than the busier resorts, with Ningwood nearby and a genuine sense of countryside despite the proximity to the sea. The Granary sits on the edge of this rural landscape—a Grade II listed former mill conversion from the early 1990s with its own parking space and an electric vehicle charging point on site.

The layout spreads across two floors: upstairs holds the kitchen and a spacious open-plan living and dining room; downstairs are two bedrooms (one with a kingsize bed, one with two singles) and a bathroom with shower over the bath. The essentials are covered—electricity, heating, bed linen, towels and wifi all included. The kitchen has an electric oven, hob, microwave, fridge-freezer and washing machine for self-catering. There is a pond in the grounds, and a private, enclosed garden with patio seating catches the sun.

This works well for couples, families with younger children, or friends sharing a break. The village has a shop, pub, café and bistro within walking distance. No smoking is permitted inside. Check-in is after 4pm and checkout before 10am.

We stayed here in August 2023, the cottage is very well equipped and the owners were very friendly, it was so peaceful here and a great place to retreat to. Sad to go home again! Thank you

Fantastic is the only word I can use. Everything you want for a superb self catering holiday is thought of by Barry and Owen, the owners. Just the best holiday my partner and I have had, and the cottage is wonderful with our iwn private garden. Gorgeous!
