Perched in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty with views sweeping across Shorwell Downs, Troopers View Campsite offers a genuinely scenic base for exploring the Isle of Wight. The setting is pure countryside – rolling hills, footpaths and bridleways radiating in all directions – and with a bus stop right at the entrance, you're well-placed to reach beaches, cycle trails and watersports hubs across the island without needing the car. Brighstone village, a ten-minute stroll away, has bike hire (including E-bikes), a breakfast café, village shop and a traditional pub with a spacious beer garden.
This is a relaxed, family-friendly pop-up site welcoming dogs, barbecues and groups of all kinds. Facilities are straightforward – water points, portable toilets, showers and washing-up sinks – so it feels properly outdoorsy rather than polished. Very relaxed host and a great campsite with lovely scenic views. It's simple, with everything you need to have a relaxed camping trip. Local pub is not far away either and makes for a great pit stop when heading back to the camp site.

Wow Shorwell community should be so proud of this little addition to the village. A little pop up camping site , 3 porta loos & a cold water water tap. No thrills just a perfect location. 5 min walk in to the village, visit the lovely Crown Inn pub , fab food & drinks and the local village shops. This may be basic but my god the location and the amazing views are to die for. So close to local beaches and local attractions no more than 10 mins away , you could not ask for a more perfect location. This site is on a bus route so access back to Newport or West Wight is still pretty easy. I do hope the local community of Shorwell get right behind this family business and help support them in every way. It would be a huge loss to the village, as this site is nothing more that a credit to the village and the should be super proud of this young site.

Lovely place to camp, clean toilets and water facilities. Kids had a brilliant first experience of camping and cannot wait to go again. Will definitely book here again.

This is a lovely little site if you are happy to do "basic". No showers , a really clean portaloo and a nice area for washing up. Views to die for and the owners are lovely .
