Would agree with other reviewers. Staff were friendly, location wasngrest, the price was fair, and breakfast was fine. Room (and bed) felt very small. Decor seemed rather rundown but the bathroom looked modern so they are maybe revamping in stages. Overall a good option for a short stay.

I know hospitality is a tough business, but that's no excuse. Reception: "Computer isn't working" shouting through glass window! Room: Cold. Turned radiator on. 45 minutes later they were still stone cold. Returned to reception rang bells (push button and hand bell) - no response. Could have phoned numbers on door, but didn't have any faith in response. Decamped to another place where there was a warm welcome, a warm room and positive contact with staff. Avoid unless desperate. Sorry to be so negative, but that's my experience

A quick pint on Wednesday evening on our way home. Friendly bar staff, small choice of beers, the atmosphere was very quiet as only us and 1 chap at the bar. Small bar area but dog friendly.
