This is a review for the camping area. Lovely peaceful site but short walk in to town and close to a trading estate with a couple of supermarkets. I pitched at the furthest point, I like to be anti social :-) Apart from birds and sheep there was total silence. The grass is lovely for pitching on. Cars are to be left in the large car park. Suits me as my little rwd doesn't really like wet grass! The staff and others around the club were friendly and helpful. The toilets and shower areas are spotlessly clean. They are actually the rugby changing rooms but you lock the door and have a massive area to yourself There's also a basic washing up area with drinking water and a play area for kids. I love too that you can check in early. So many places are later in the afternoon and you've wasted a day. Here you can pitch and still get a good walk. There's loads of routes near by. I'll definitely be back!!

Staying at the camping and caravan club site next door to Kendal rugby club. Phoned to see if they were showing the grand national as there were no rugby home games. Spoke to Lynne who was more than accommodating. We were the only ones in which is a shame as its a lovely club house but Lynne ensured we got drinks and had food which was exceptional. Would highly recommend but recommend the committee ensures it opens more often. Will definitely be back. Thanks Lynne

I went to see, and photograph, the Rock on Kendal event. It was a really great day out, great acts, Hammerhead, Storm, Massive Wagons and Status Quo. The venue was well set up, intimate even with a few thousand people in there with you, the sound and lighting was spot on and all of the bands were up for it. The club house was really nice and the VIP area looked very much worth it. Good choice of food and good selection of beers. Hope its on again next year :)
