A straightforward 68-room hotel by Chesford Bridge in Kenilworth, suited to business stays, weddings or Warwickshire touring with a car.
About Riverside Hotel
Riverside Hotel works well for travellers who want a base with a bit of everything rather than a boutique experience: business visitors after reliable wifi and meeting facilities, couples planning a wedding, or families touring Warwickshire who'd rather not pay for parking. Set on Chesford Bridge in Kenilworth, it has 68 rooms with air conditioning, making it a straightforward option for longer stays as well as overnight stops.
Guests have use of a restaurant and bar on site, along with breakfast service, an indoor swimming pool, gym and spa or sauna, so there's enough to fill an evening without leaving the building. A garden adds a quieter spot to sit outside, and a lift makes the building accessible across its floors. Free on-site parking is included, which suits anyone arriving by car to explore the wider county.
The hotel also runs as a wedding venue and offers business services, so it's used for events and meetings as much as leisure breaks. Kenilworth itself makes a reasonable base for exploring Warwickshire, with the hotel's location by Chesford Bridge putting guests close to the town rather than in its centre.

What guests say
The photos on Booking.com don't bear any resemblance to reality! Perhaps the hotel has just been taken over, but the bar was unstocked - during a severe heatwave we couldn't get bottled water. There was no outdoor seating and the main bar area was closed. We decided to eat out, including breakfast because we weren't confident the food would be any good. On the plus side, the rooms are good - they have Aircon and the showers are excellent. It's also quiet at night. Sadly, my TV and kettle didn't work and although I reported it to reception, they didn't do anything about it. If you stay longer than one night, beware they don't clean the rooms or make the beds.

Good location for tha area. Room was clean but looked like the Aircon had leaked before. Arrived on the Sunday, no restaurant or breakfast for the Mon morning but there are places nearby to eat thankfully, I ate in the restaurant on the Monday night, there are better places to eat in the area. . Staff were really friendly I have to say and helpful.

Friendly staff, no resturaunt open in evening. Room clean but basic. Bed , a bit lumpy . Didn't have breakfast. Reasonable price. Capet up the stairs was clean but smelled . Room could do with a lick.of paint. Bathroom clean and in good order.

I enjoyed my stay here for the night. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and comfortable, with great water pressure in the bathroom. Breakfast was great, and the bar area was very nice. The location is very convenient. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay that exceeded expectations. Would stay again and highly recommend.
