Hockwold Hall stands alone across 50 acres of grounds near Brandon, a detached house built to accommodate large gatherings—up to 26 people across nine bedrooms and eight bathrooms. The scale is genuinely unusual: there's a bar on the lower ground floor, a games room with snooker and table tennis, a separate ceremony space, and enough kitchen equipment to feed everyone at once—two dishwashers, an Aga, a woodburner, and a wine cooler among the standard appliances. Four of the bedrooms have four-poster beds. All but one have an ensuite; one ensuite includes a Jacuzzi bath.
Outside, the grounds contain a private hot tub for 12, a sauna, a floodlit tennis court, a firepit, a summerhouse, and garden furniture scattered across lawned areas. There is a pond 135 yards from the house. You have private parking for 20 cars and a bike store. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are included, along with fuel for the open fires. Smoking is not permitted throughout the property.
This works for milestone celebrations: weddings, significant birthdays, family reunions or extended-group holidays. The house combines the scale needed for 26 people to gather comfortably with private outdoor space and enough activities that guests can spread across the grounds rather than crowding indoors.

Every part of Hockwold Hall is beautifully maintained, from the stunning gardens to the elegant ceremony and reception spaces. It provided the most magical backdrop for our special day, and our guests haven’t stopped talking about how beautiful everything was. What truly made our day unforgettable was the incredible team. Every single member of staff was so warm, friendly, professional and attentive. Nothing was ever too much trouble, and they worked so hard behind the scenes to ensure everything ran seamlessly. Their attention to detail and genuine care meant we could completely relax and enjoy every single moment without worrying about a thing. Our wedding day was everything we had ever dreamed of and more. It was completely stress free thanks to the amazing organisation and support from the Hockwold Hall team. They made us feel so special from start to finish, and it was clear how passionate they are about creating unforgettable weddings. Hockwold Hall was absolutely stunning, and for the price we paid, the full package was incredible value. Planning our wedding honestly couldn’t have been easier, as so much was taken care of through the venue itself. The in-house catering was amazing. They accommodated my intolerance perfectly and also incorporated Russian dishes into the menu, as ours was a Russian-English wedding. The dishes were exactly how they should be and the food was absolutely delicious! Our DJ and florist were also partners of the venue, and neither disappointed. The entire location feels so high-end and offers so many beautiful opportunities for photos. The marquee was gorgeous, and we also had the petting zoo open for our guests — something we never expected to become one of the biggest highlights of the day for so many people! A special mention has to go to our coordinator, Beth, who was absolutely outstanding. Having someone so competent, organised and reliable there to coordinate between everyone on the day took an incredible amount of pressure off us. She handled everything so smoothly, which meant we could simply enjoy our wedding without worrying about what was happening behind the scenes. We genuinely can’t say enough about how grateful we are. Hockwold Hall gave us the most amazing wedding day, and we couldn’t have wished for a more beautiful venue or a better team. Thank you so much for everything!

Words aren’t enough to thank the team at Hockwold for making our wedding the special day it was! From the moment we first visited the venue, the whole team were so incredibly helpful and pro-active. Quick responses to the numerous questions we had over email, both from the co-ordinators and Jo on the financial side of things. Coming to our actual wedding, the general manager Ashleigh, and the bar manager Tyler , were incredibly welcoming and helpful while we were there setting up the day before. They were quick to help us get extra bits and bobs as we needed, i.e the easles and extra table cloths. Being able to stay on site the night before the wedding made it feel even more special. The day of, we couldn’t fault our day of coordinator Beth at all. She was always checking in, with a smile on her face, making sure we were settled and seeing if there was anything we needed. As the bride, she made that moment before walking down the aisle feel so incredibly special. The accomodation on the night of the wedding was a huge selling point for a lot of our guests were travelling, and it did not disappoint. Our only comment would be the mother of the bride struggled to manoeuvre around the accessible room with her walker, other than this, the accommodation was perfect. The whole day felt seamless from start to finish and we have no doubt this was from the wonderful Hockwold team working so hard in the background to keep everything in motion. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect venue and team to host our special day, especially when they make you want to do it all over again!

We had our wedding in May 2026 and it was amazing! The team at Hockwold are fantastic and will do anything to help make the day special. Richard and Molly were both fantastic throughout the whole process, answering any questions we had. We stayed the night before at the surrounding cottages/hotel which was really easy and made the whole weekend so much smoother. The house and the gardens surrounding the property were so perfect. We honestly cannot recommend this venue enough
