Park Cottage stands within the grounds of Sedgeford Hall, a Queen Anne mansion completed in 1713 and expanded over subsequent centuries. The estate sprawls across 1200 acres of working farmland and woodland in a north Norfolk valley, with lakes, parkland and walking routes open to guests. The coast lies a few miles away, and the market town of Burnham Market is close by, as are several grand houses including Holkham and Sandringham.

All five bedrooms are on the ground floor: two with kingsize beds and ensuite bathrooms, one with a superking bed sharing a Jack and Jill arrangement with an adjoining twin room, one with a kingsize and two singles, and one with a kingsize. Four bathrooms offer a mix of roll-top and walk-in showers. The living spaces include a dining room, sitting room with a 50-inch TV and open fire, and a sun room leading to an enclosed garden with lawn and seating. The kitchen is fully equipped for self-catering, with an electric range, dishwasher and all standard appliances. Underfloor heating throughout, plus wood burners for winter; logs are provided to start. Bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi are included, and there is parking for four cars.

The property sleeps twelve and is yours alone for the duration of your stay. One dog is welcome at no extra cost. Guests also have access to a shared heated indoor swimming pool on a rota basis. No smoking inside.

I would recommend this place for large families, we had a wonderful time with plenty of space. I would advise the TV has no live channel so Netflix, Prime Video or Disney is your only options. *****

Had the best long weekend with the family in Park Cottage! The house had everything you could need and more. The gardens and grounds are beautiful and everything is 10mins away. The pool access was great, clean and warm. Would stay again and highly recommend. TIP: It was cheaper to book direct despite finding the property on Hoseasons

Spent a weekend celebrating a 50th birthday with friends and we had the entire main house all to ourselves. WowWee stunning 🤩 Fun fact: the main house is so large that it took approximately 7 minutes speed walking indoors from room to room - a leisurely wander around entire main house, orangery and gardens 20 minutes! Loved this house, especially the huge kitchen! So many gushing positives - huge house, huge rooms, beautiful surroundings, indoor swimming pool, courtyard garden terrace with large ornamental pond, total privacy despite cottages speckled across the estate. Loved it and happily would return.

We recently organised a small family wedding here and the house was perfect, and all the team who look after it went out of their way to accommodate us. We rented out the main hall and theatre, plus the west wing which they opened up so the entire building was available to us. The kids loved swimming in the pool every day, and having it to ourselves with our own time slot was such a treat. There is so much room to break off into smaller groups, but also lovely big spaces for big family meals, and room to host a 30 person wedding. The gardens are beautiful, they're so peaceful, so well looked after and surround the house. you feel like you've been whisked back 100 years and are a grand noble family living the life, whilst also having some modern comforts throughout the home.
