The Manor House
King's Lynn and West Norfolk
View on Google MapsKing's Lynn's historic character centres on St Nicholas' Church, and The Manor House sits within that same medieval streetscape. This period property, with roots stretching back to the 1800s, has been restored to keep its original features intact—original butler bells still hang in the dining room, open fireplaces warm the main rooms, and period details are visible throughout. At the same time, the house functions as a modern holiday rental: central heating, a fitted kitchen with Aga and multiple ovens, dishwasher, and superfast Wi-Fi mean you're not sacrificing comfort for character.
Eight bedrooms across three floors sleep up to 16 guests. Six bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms; a seventh bathroom and shower room serve the remaining spaces. Beds range from zip-and-link singles and doubles to super-kingsize options, so configurations can adapt to different group needs. Downstairs holds a living room with open fire, a separate snug with wood burner, a spacious kitchen-dining room, utility room, and a games room in the annexe with pool table and dartboard. Bed linen, towels, Wi-Fi, heating and electricity are all included; initial fuel for the fires is provided too.
The enclosed garden has a patio, terrace, gas barbecue and pizza oven, with parking for five cars on site. One dog or cat can stay at no extra cost. The property is non-smoking throughout.
