Nestled just outside Kirkby Lonsdale, this Rugby Club campsite makes an excellent base for walkers and outdoor enthusiasts exploring the western Yorkshire Dales and southern Lake District fringes. With spectacular mountain scenery all around, you're well-placed for hiking, cycling, climbing and canoeing – plus the characterful market town of Kirkby Lonsdale sits just a short walk away for shops, pubs and a weekly farmers' market.
The site offers a mix of grass and hardstanding pitches (electric and non-electric), along with decent facilities including showers, washing-up areas and a fitness centre – though some visitors note that parts of the site can feel a little tired. Dogs are welcome year-round, WiFi is free, and there's chemical disposal for motorhomes. It's a straightforward, friendly spot that won't win design awards but gets the practicalities right for touring Cumbria.

Lovely view, thank you to David very helpful and around when needed talking to the campers, lovely personal touch! Downside pitches close together, when busy queues for showers and toilets. A bit expensive for the facilities provided but close to the lovely town and walks

First time camping here and it was superb, a great camp, and well set up. Kirkby Lonsdale is a lovely place we'll keep coming back too. The Rugby club and its staff are a credit to the area. The staff are beyond polite and helpful and the fact they are all connected to the club in some shape or other shows its a great family orientated club. Loved it.

The first Beer and music festival at KLRUFC after Covid. What an excellent event. Some great talent, good food and a fab selection of beers, ciders and everything in between. The whole event went very well and the addition of the “beer cards” made a big difference.
