3 Healey Cottage
Kirklees
3 Healey Cottage sits on the Trans-Pennine Trail itself, meaning the walking starts at your door. The location is on the edge of Shelley village, between the Pennines and Peak District, with local footpaths connecting to nearby villages and their cafés. For cycling, the trail runs direct from the property. The cottage is semi-detached, backing onto open countryside but close enough to Huddersfield and Holmfirth for town amenities within twenty minutes.
Downstairs is a single open-plan space with a wood-burning stove, TV and DVD player, and a kitchen equipped for proper cooking—electric oven and hob, dishwasher, microwave and coffee machine. Upstairs, a bedroom with a kingsize bed and an ensuite shower. The essentials—heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and wifi—are covered; logs for the stove are included initially, with more available. One small or medium dog is welcome, and there is parking for one car on site. A small courtyard garden offers a place to sit out.
The cottage suits walkers and cyclists year-round, and those wanting to explore the local galleries, sculpture park and museums that cluster in the area. No smoking indoors.
