Old Jail View comes ready for a self-catering stay. The kitchen has an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge-freezer, so you can cook as much or as little as you like. Electricity, wi-fi, bed linen and towels are all included. The two bedrooms are doubles with their own en-suite shower rooms, and everything is on the ground floor—no stairs to navigate once you're in.
The cottage sits in Holmfirth's town centre, accessed via a steep cobbled street that levels out inside. You get an open-plan living, dining and kitchen space, plus a small front garden with seating where you can have a coffee or a drink. The Picturedrome is right outside, and Sid's Café—famous from Last of the Summer Wine—is within walking distance. A pub sits within a mile. Holmfirth itself has independent shops, tearooms and riverside walks; the Peak District is a short drive away for hiking and cycling. There's a public car park 200 yards off, charged at £4 per day. No smoking inside the property.
