About Knaresborough Caravan and Motorhome Club Site
Set on New Road in the village of Scotton, this Caravan and Motorhome Club site sits two miles from Knaresborough town centre and a similar distance from Harrogate, making it a practical base for exploring both. Spread across 74 pitches – over half hardstanding – it welcomes members and non-members alike, taking touring caravans, motorhomes and tents, with a private touring section for those who prefer more space.
Visitors consistently praise the spacious, well-kept pitches and immaculate modern facilities, including spotless shower blocks and a thoughtful dog washing area. The on-site bar and bistro is a genuine asset, serving good food and drinks at reasonable prices, while friendly wardens create a genuinely welcoming atmosphere. A small play area keeps children entertained, and the compact scale means it never feels overcrowded even at busy times of year.
The surrounding lanes around Scotton and Farnham offer quiet walking with the River Nidd not far beyond, and Knaresborough's castle, riverside and market are a short drive or manageable cycle away. It works equally well as an overnight stop on the A1 corridor or a longer stay for visiting the Yorkshire Dales, York and Harrogate, with a no-frills approach that keeps prices sensible compared with larger resort-style parks nearby.

What visitors say
Lovely dog friendly site with welcoming site wardens. The pitches are well kept, the site is exceptionally clean & tidy. The facilities blocks (2 of) are in line with the site upkeep. Bar on site open until 20:00 serving food. Alternatively there is a local pub 5 minutes walk away, The Guy Fawkes Arms which is very traditional / cosy. There is a dog walk just across the main road through the woods into Knaresborough (About 3 miles). Would highly recommend this site and we will definitely be returning.

Brilliant club site, exceptional wardens who were welcoming and chatty. Wish we were staying longer. Serviced pitch which was level and spotlessly clean, ideal for our motorhome. Nice facilities block with hot and powerful showers. Lovely little bar onsite with food and outside seating. Bus stop directly outside the site with two hourly buses, we found lots of lovely shops and eateries in Knaresborough and also walked into town via Nidd Gorge. It’s a 10/10 from us. We will definitely be back.

Just had a four day stay at this well kept site en route home South following our tour of Scotland. The site is well laid out with spacious pitches, well maintained garden areas and a dog exercise area. The staff are friendly and the on site bar/café is very popular - open from 1500-2000 daily (1500-1800 for food service). We walked into Knaresborough and e joyed a potter around. We took the bus to Ripon which was a torturous trip (a true bone shaker) but Ripon was definitely worth a wander and the Cathedral is stunning.

This is truly wonderful site, very quiet, restful and with outstanding amenities. The shower block is very modern and exceptionally clean. The Bistro Cafe provide lovely food and local beverages. The staff are very welcoming people and I can’t rate them high enough as they are always so accommodating and welcoming. The site is immaculate in every sense of the word and the teams work hard at keeping the whole site beautiful. Outstanding stay.
